This event will begin at 15.00 with Coffee. Professor Lant Pritchett will start the lecture at 15.30. The event is chaired by Professor Finn Tarp, Director of UNU-WIDER.

The 16th WIDER Annual Lecture will be delivered by Lant Pritchett, currently Professor of the Practice of International Development and Faculty Chair of the Masters in Public Policy in International Development (MPA/ID) program at Harvard Kennedy School of Government. Prior to returning to the Kennedy School in 2007, he was Lead Socio-Economist in the Social Development group of the South Asia region of the World Bank, resident in Delhi, 2004–07. In 2011 Lant Pritchett was featured on the Foreign Policy Top 100 Global Thinkers.
