
As part of the series, we are pleased to announce a lecture entitled 'Explaining the Financial Crisis and What It Means for the Future of Global Development' by Joseph E. Stiglitz, Professor at Columbia University and Nobel Laureate in Economics in 2001. Professor Stiglitz has contributed to the work of the UNU World Institute for Development Economics Research (UNU-WIDER) in the field of global development.
Professor Stiglitz will examine the current financial crisis and analyze its impact on the future of global development. The lecture is supported by the Office of the President of the 63rd session of the United Nations General Assembly.
