In addition to job vacancies, this section of the website invites applications for the Visiting Scholar and PhD Internship programmes, and lists other opportunities for collaboration.

UNU-WIDER and the African Economic Research Consortium (AERC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding in the area of capacity building and research. As one of the first concrete steps UNU-WIDER / AERC have jointly announced the following programmes: The UNU-WIDER/AERC PhD Internship Programme and the UNU-WIDER/AERC Visiting Scholars Programme.

The deadline for the Visiting Scholars Programme is 30 September of each year.

The deadlines for the PhD Internship Programme are 31 March and 30 September of each year.
