The UNU-WIDER Library is a research library specialized in development economics, global development, and poverty issues. The primary function of the library is to support the programmes and other research activities at UNU-WIDER by providing tailored library and information services. 

The collection has 10,000 books and other printed materials covering the themes of the present and past research areas of UNU-WIDER. The library acquisitions policy follows strictly the information needs and demands of the current research projects. 

The library subscribes to approximately one hundred printed periodicals and journals on topics of economics and development studies. In addition, the UNU-WIDER virtual library provides access to several electronic journals and online databases.
