Abrams M.E. Tagem delivers lecture at the Vienna Institute for International Economic Studies

On Friday, 13 May 2022 9:00-10:30 (UTC+2), Abrams M.E. Tagem will deliver a lecture at the Vienna Institute for International Economic Studies. The lecture, entitled "The Government Revenue Dataset," will be attended by audience is mostly policymakers and advisors from Eastern Europe.

Attendance to the event is by invitation only, and will consist of 21 participants from 12 countries selected by Vienna Institute for International Economic Studies (WIIW) economist Branimir Jovanovic, from diverse institutions including central banks, ministries of finance, universities, parliamentary offices, industrial centres, and consultancies. There are people with backgrounds in economics, law, as well as researchers, advisors, managers, and teachers. This diversity ensures different opinions, stimulating discussions, and broadening horizons.

The Government Revenue Dataset, also known as the GRD, is part of the Domestic Revenue Mobilization programme, and aims to present a complete picture of government revenue and tax trends over time and allows for analysis at the country, regional or cross-country level. Where possible, figures are expressed both inclusive and exclusive of natural resource revenues, which helps to overcome a major obstacle to cross-country comparisons in existing data sources.
