Kunal Sen at WEDGE/EMERGE "Interrogating Gender" Seminar

Kunal Sen speaks at the WEDGE and EMERGE programme's first web-based discussion on gender equality and data. The discussion explores what we measure in labor force surveys, what we do not count, and how decisions regarding measurement shape policy dialogue. The discussion is attended by academics, researchers, and data collectors working on gender equality and/or labour markets around the world. Kunal Sen will be representing UNU-WIDER and the Women's work — routes to economic and social empowerment project.

The event will be held online from 9:00 to 10:30 EST.

WEDGE is the Women's Empowerment, Data for Gender Equality (WEDGE) programme at the University of Maryland.

EMERGE stands for Evidence-based Measures of Empowerment for Research on Gender Equality and is a component of the Center on Gender Equity and Health at UC San Diego's work programme.
