Virtual workshop on the changing nature of work and inequality

Virtual workshop on the changing nature of work and inequality

The changing nature of work and inequality project will hold a workshop online to discuss research in progress on 24-26 March via Zoom. The original workshop to be convened in Tunis, Tunisia has been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Country-level research teams will present their work to date on the drivers of changes in earnings inequality for the project's twelve country case studies, in three regional sessions. Each team will have 30 minutes to present their results and share feedback with the other country teams.

Presentations include the first results to come from new databases constructed by the project which estimate, at a national level, for the first time, the routine-task intensity of different occupations in the labour market. These data are useful for determining the relationship between occupational task composition and earnings inequality in each country.
