Tilman Brück

Tilman Brück is head of the Economic Development and Food Security research group at the Leibniz Institute of Vegetable and Ornamental Crops in Großbeeren near Berlin; Founder and Director of ISDC – International Security and Development Center in Berlin; Professor of Food Security, State Fragility and Climate Change at the Natural Resources Institute of the University of Greenwich; Visiting Professor at the London School of Economics; and Co-Founder and Co-Director of the Households in Conflict Network.

His research focuses on the behaviour and the welfare of poor and vulnerable households in conflict-affected, fragile and humanitarian emergency settings and on research methods in conflict settings. Professor Brück obtained a doctorate in economics from the University of Oxford.
