WIDER Working Papers

The series amalgamates and replaces both the previous Discussion Paper and the Research Paper Series.

As of 1 January 2010, UNU-WIDER introduces the WIDER Working Papers Series (ISSN 1798-7237) — working papers posted online to stimulate discussion and critical comment.

The series amalgamates and replaces both the previous Discussion Paper and the Research Paper Series. The working papers are registered with an individual ISBN to enable citation and library referencing and are available for downloading. The online WIDER working papers are supported by a selective print-on-demand service upon request from developing country readers and organizations.

Please see the 'Catalogue of WIDER Working Papers 2010' (PDF) for an up-to-date and chronological list of all the papers in the Working Paper series, or use the search options to compile your own interest lists. Previously published discussion and research papers continue to be available online and can be downloaded from the UNU-WIDER Web site.

The use of particular designations of countries or territories does not imply any judgement by United Nations University as to the legal status of such countries or territories, of their authorities and institutions or of the delimitation of their boundaries. The designations ‘developed’ and ‘developing’ regions are intended for statistical and analytical convenience and do not necessarily express a judgement about the stage reached by a particular country or area in the development process.
