The dataset on Income Distribution in Latin America  was developed in the context of  The New Policy Model, Inequality and Poverty in Latin America: Evidence from the Last Decade and Prospects for the Future. The IDLA database compiles published statistical information useful for the analysis of income distribution in the Latin America region over the last two decades, a period marked by important changes in the field of income inequality, as well as in those of macroeconomic, taxation, labour market, and social policy in most countries of the region.

The dataset is accessible in an open source mode to stimulate research by scholars with interests in the topic of income inequality in the region. Authors are kindly requested to refer to the database whenever they make use of it.
