Agenda 2030 roundtable
UNU-WIDER, the UN Association of Finland, and the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland held a policy seminar on 29 May 2017 to discuss ongoing efforts towards achieving the goals and efforts set out in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
The main objective of the event was to promote dialogue between local organizations and actors working on Agenda 2030, a global plan of action on areas of critical importance, including extreme poverty and gender equality. At the event, UNU-WIDER Director Finn Tarp provided an overview of Agenda 2030, after which participants shared their organizations’ ongoing efforts on set goals and targets in a roundtable discussion.
