Rachel Gisselquist delivers keynote address at Academy of Finland Seminar

On 26 November 2018 Rachel Gisselquist presents a keynote address on development research for impact, at an event hosted by the Academy of Finland.

The event, Research to Make Impact!, will launch the Academy Programme for development research, a joint effort between the Academy of Finland and the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland, which will run from 2018-2022. The programme’s themes are based on Finland’s development policy objectives and the UN Sustainable Development Agenda.

Rachel’s presentation will share insights from the experience UNU-WIDER has in development research for impact, focusing on examples from her own work on group-based inequality and from the ReCom project on aid, governance, and fragility.

The event will bring together researchers of the starting DEVELOP programme with the broader research community, Finnish ministries, and NGOs.
