Rachel Gisselquist featured in Chinese Social Sciences magazine


A Chinese social science publication Chinese Social Science Today has featured a UNU-WIDER expert in their January 2021 issue.

Rachel M. Gisselquist, a political scientist and a Senior Research Fellow at UNU-WIDER, was interviewed for an article discussing global development indicator frameworks. In the article titled Scholars re-examine global rankings she comments on the practical implications of governance assessments which are using various indexes and indicators, and how they may influence foreign aid allocations and investor perceptions.

Chinese Social Sciences is published by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), which is a Chinese research institute and think tank. 

The article was first published in Chinese, followed by publication in the English edition of the newspaper.
