VoxEU policy portal features human capital and growth video series

Human capital and growth: A 30 second introduction to the series

In July, 2016 UNU-WIDER launched a new video series on human capital and growth in which 12 experts discuss human capital and its relationship to economic and individual growth. This video series is now being featured on the Centre for Economic Policy Research’s (CEPR) policy portal VoxEU.org.

VoxEU.org is a popular portal for economists in governments, international organizations, academia and the private sector as well as journalists specializing in economics, finance and business and economics students. It receives over 250,000 visitors per month.

Human capital has been identified not only as a key determinant of growth and poverty alleviation, but also as being critical for human development. The interview series continues the discussion on innovative, theoretical, and empirical research on human capital that was initiated at UNU-WIDER’s Development conference ‘Human capital and growth’, held in Helsinki on 6-7 June 2016.
