Paula Herrera-Idárraga is Associate professor of economics at the Pontifical Javierian University. She obtained her Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Barcelona. Her research has focused on issues related to gender discrimination, educational mismatch, informality, and regional inequalities for Colombia. She is the director of a project on economics and gender, which seeks to promote the inclusion of gender in economics as an important component in the curricula of undergraduate and graduate programs in economics departments in Colombian universities. She held the position of director of the economics department of the PUJ. Her articles have been published in indexed academic journals such as The Journal of Development Studies, Spatial Economic Analysis, Cuadernos de Economía, among others.
