UNU-WIDER Research Fellow Amina Ebrahim joins the Addis Tax Initiative (ATI) Asia regional follow-up technical meeting on tax expenditures in Kathmandu, Nepal as a presenter. Over three days from from 7–9 May, the technical meeting provides a unique opportunity for ATI member countries in Asia and other interested governments to exchange with regional partners and international experts on the estimation, reporting, and evaluation of tax expenditures (TEs). The event is part of a series of regional workshops and follow-up technical meetings on tax expenditures organised by the ATI, jointly with the Council on Economic Policies (CEP) and the German Institute of Development and Sustainability (IDOS). On this occasion, the Inland Revenue Department of Nepal hosts the meeting and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and Asian Development Bank (ADB) join as institutional partners.

UNU-WIDER's joins the event as a part of the Building up efficient and fair tax systems – lessons based on administrative tax data project and the Domestic Revenue Mobilization (DRM) programme. DRM is financed by the Norwegian development co-operation agency Norad.
