About

The Fourth Industrial Revolution refers to the rapid technological advancement launched, in many ways, by the 1970s microelectronics revolution and the Information and Communication Technology advances which ensued. These new technologies have significantly impacted on sectors and workplaces of domestic economies around the world. The International Economic Association (IEA) holds a workshop to engage on the role of technology in shaping welfare outcomes in developing countries.
