Tanzania Revenue Authority visits UNU-WIDER headquarters

Over five days between 27–31 May, members of the Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) and contributing researchers to the Building up efficient and fair tax systems project meet with researchers at UNU-WIDER for practical sessions to finalize research projects and discuss and debate new research topics enabled by ongoing development and access to the administrative data source in Tanzania. The development and availability of tax administrative data from Tanzania enables new insights on a range of topics related to economic development in the country and is part of an ongoing partnership between the TRA and UNU-WIDER.

The Manager of Research and the Senior Economist's itineraries also include meetings with Finnish tax agencies, government departments, and research institutes, such as Fingo, VATT, Vero, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
